Rooted in Vedic philosophy, Paro is a journey to Svasthi – the holistic state of wellbeing where our body, mind and spirit are in a state of harmony with each other and with the rhythms of nature. Paro is also a sanctuary for deep conversations and exchanges around living in alignment with the cosmic order.

But, most of all, Paro is an invitation to pause and go within; to learn and reconnect with the delightful rituals and special knowledge that ground us and give us the joyful feeling of Saukhya and the beauty of Sṛingār.

The idea of Paro came to me when I started to search for meaning and a larger purpose in life. As it often happens after a crisis, one’s barriers have broken down, the ego is bruised and the path reveals itself. And it is truly amazing how it happens.

Paro was always meant to be an offering, of my experience of the journey from nearly drowning, to coming up for air, to seeing some light and finally to not just swimming through life but enjoying every stroke of that swim.

And while doing all this picking up some gems from the bottom of the ocean as I look back on that time and continue with the unfolding of this most special thing called life.

Ocean of Wonder - notes from my journey - are personal, reflective and hopefully helpful as I offer my own experiences and learnings to others who invariably go through life’s highs and lows.

Along my own journey, I have made many changes - mostly little ones - that have gotten me to a place of more long-term Svasthi (in Sanskrit, Svasthi means being well established within oneself).

And as I travel this path, I have found so many sources of Saukhya, or joy, and also the beauty of Śṛingār - all of which I will be sharing in Ocean of Wonder.

The result of these practices as I continue on this journey is more resilience, as life inevitably throws challenges; a little less fear; and even more playfulness.

Your destiny does play a part in shaping your life, but the way you deal with things influences your destiny going forward. And through practices and rituals, we can influence our fate. There are always opportunities to change the course of our lives, but it is important to be aware of them and work on them. That’s free will.

I am, by nature, reserved and protective of my privacy. And as I step out of my comfort zone with the spirit of seva bhāv and the intention of sharing to provide inspiration, I look forward to the unfolding of the Ocean of Wonder.

I welcome you on this journey, if you feel connected to it. And I invite you to come along.
